Wings 2023 - Exhibition and Publication

Wings 2023 is a dual exhibition and publication opportunity to showcase artistic interpretations of winged creatures. Gallerium is seeking real or surreal, natural and fantasy creatures or man-made objects with wings and feathers. This includes real creatures (birds, bats, insects, flying fish, extinct dinosaurs), fantasy creatures (fairies, angels, superheroes), mythical creatures (Pegasus, phoenix, dragons), flying objects (aircraft, helicopters, satellites, spaceships, UFOs), and symbolic or religious representations of wings. All abstract and representational artists working in any art medium worldwide are encouraged to submit.

Submission is free of charge. Up to 5 artworks can be submitted per artist, with a maximum of 2 artworks selected from each artist. Selected artists will pay a USD 40 selection fee. Artwork eligibility includes all visual art categories: painting, drawing, illustration, portraits, abstract, printmaking, photography, digital arts, graphic arts, fiber art, crafts, ceramics, design, jewelry, textile arts, assemblage, sculpture, landscapes, land art, book art, and mixed media. All styles and sizes are accepted. Artworks must be original works created by the entrant without instructor supervision, and artists must hold all rights for international presentation and publication.

Selected artworks will be published in The Book of Arts: Wings publication and exhibited online from June 1 to July 31, 2023. Benefits include publication in a glossy A4 format book distributed internationally to thousands of readers including experts, galleries, curators, and enthusiasts; online and print exhibition catalogues; digital exhibition poster; social media promotional badges; artwork ratings and comments from visitors; exhibition press release; analytics reports including views, comments, and engagement data; free artist profile page on Biafarin platform; and digital certificate for selected artists. The online version of the publication is available free, while high-quality print versions can be ordered through print-on-demand service.
