About This Call

The Morton Arboretum's annual Wine & Art Walk will take place near the main Visitor Center with booths positioned around a paved 0.6 mile trail surrounding Meadow Lake. Approximately 70 artists will be selected for this juried event based on submissions of nature-themed artwork. The event features multiple wine, beverage, and snack stations around the Meadow Lake Trail, live music each day, and past attendance has ranged from 16,000-18,000 visitors.

Artists whose work is created using natural materials or features nature themes are invited to apply. Eligible themes include trees, flowers, landscapes, birds, insects, woodland creatures, and other Midwestern nature subjects. All artwork must be original and handmade; no mass production, commercial kits, purchased molds, patterns, or prefabricated pieces are allowed. Copies and reproductions are permitted if clearly marked as such. Artists must be present throughout the entire event, including Friday evening preview and both weekend days.

The event takes place Friday, August 14, 2026 (5:00-8:00pm Member Night, ticketed) and Saturday-Sunday, August 15-16, 2026 (10:00am-5:00pm, open to public with general admission). Jury fees are $40 (non-refundable). Booth fees are $400 (10x10), $550 (10x15), or $750 (10x20); refunds are not issued after June 15, 2026. Applications are accepted through February 20, 2026. Jury selection occurs in March with artist notifications by April 1, 2026. Applicants must submit a statement describing their art, techniques, and relevant details in 150 words or less. Three cash awards will be given: Best of Show ($250), 1st runner-up ($150), and 2nd runner-up ($100), based on booth setup, quality of work, and uniqueness. The Best of Show winner will be invited to exhibit in 2027 without jury. Artist amenities include dedicated marketing, social media promotion, email to 55,000+ member households, complimentary breakfast, lunch, snacks, water, and volunteer booth sitters.
