Window to the Soul

Art Saint Louis presents Window to the Soul, a juried exhibition open to artists 18 years and older living within 200 miles of St. Louis, Missouri (1223 Pine Street, St. Louis, MO 63103).

The exhibition explores the theme "the eyes are the window to your soul." Artists are invited to submit original artworks that focus on the eyes and how humans mask or illuminate emotions and motivations. The exhibition also welcomes artworks exploring spirituality and how the eyes might exist within that realm of human experience. Works in all media, styles, and techniques are encouraged, including but not limited to: airbrush, ceramics, collage, digital, drawing, glass, illustration, jewelry, metalsmithing, mixed media, mosaics, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, video, and woodworking. AI-generated artwork is not accepted. All 3-D work must be displayed on platforms, pedestals, or otherwise off-the-ground. Ceiling-installed and floor-installed artworks cannot be exhibited.

Entry deadline: January 30, 2024, 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fees: $10 for Art Saint Louis members, $25 for non-members. Submit 1-10 images and/or 0-5 videos (maximum 10 total samples). The exhibition will be held April 13-May 16, 2024, at Art Saint Louis. Gallery hours: Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-3 p.m. A free reception and awards ceremony will be held Saturday, April 13, 5-7 p.m. Jurors are Dawn Blum and Najjar Abdul-Musawwir. Awards include one $250 Best of Show Award of Excellence, four non-cash Awards of Excellence, and four Honorable Mentions. Award recipients will be eligible for the "Honor Awards 2026" curated exhibit in June-July 2026.
