Wildlife Art Special Event 2023

Life in the West Art Gallery invites artists to participate in a juried exhibit showcasing images of wildlife seen in the American West and beyond. All styles of 2D and 3D artwork will be considered in the following categories: Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Mixed Media, Photography, Digital Art, Glassware, Ceramics, Wood Carving, Stoneware, and Metalwork. Please note that jewelry is not accepted as jewelry cases are not available. Artwork will be juried by four professional artists. The objective of this exhibition and sale is to showcase wildlife, their habitats, and the energy and curiosity they demonstrate.

The show will be held April 21-23, 2023, in Broomfield, Colorado, located between Denver and Boulder. Entry fee is $40 for up to 3 images. Original works of 2D and 3D art are preferred, but high-quality prints are acceptable. Wall hanging artwork may not exceed 48" in width (including frame) and must be gallery ready with wire for hanging. Sculptures must not exceed 60 lbs, and no ceiling suspended sculptures are accepted. Artists selected by the jury may submit two additional miniature artworks up to 12"x12" at no additional cost. Artist notification is March 21, 2023. Art delivery dates are the week of April 10-14, 2023.

All artworks must be for sale and may not be removed by the artist until the close of the show. The gallery will handle all sales and taxes, with artists receiving 70% of sales and the gallery receiving 30%. Artists will receive payment within 15 days of the show's closing. All artworks in the exhibition will be insured by the gallery while on the premises for 70% of the sales price. The gallery is not responsible for insuring artwork in transit. Eligibility is open to all artists residing within the USA.
