Wild at Heart & Weird on Top

In honor of the passing of David Lynch, the ultimate master of surrealist cinema, this exhibition explores his influences. Lynch once stated that "This whole world is wild at heart and weird on the top." Artists are invited to interpret this phrase with intuitive confidence, creating work that is wild and weird. The Lab on Santa Fe, located in the Santa Fe Art District of Downtown Denver, is seeking artists with a creative process and commanding point-of-view like no one else's. No David Lynch knowledge is needed—just a wild and weird aesthetic.

The exhibition will run for 8 weekends and two First Fridays from April 11 to June 7, 2025. Entry fee is $24.00. Artists must submit 1-4 images and up to 1 video. Please include framed size in the application; any work 5 inches larger at drop-off than stated on the application can be turned away. Measurements must be accurate, including framing. All out-of-state artists must cover all shipping costs to and from Colorado. Work must have a wire hanger attached to the back of pieces or unpainted sides on stretched canvas will result in rejection at drop-off.
