About This Call
Wild about Art is a two-day art fair taking place Saturday, August 8, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday, August 9, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Toledo Zoo. The event features local and regional artists displaying and selling work in various mediums throughout the Zoo grounds. Visitors are required to pay Zoo admission to enter; Zoo members receive free admission. The fair will include entertainment and hands-on activities.
Accepted mediums include Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, Glass, Jewelry, Mixed Media, Metal Working, Photography, Printmaking/Graphics, Sculpture, Textiles, and Wood. Work does not have to be animal related. The Zoo is a family-friendly environment and will not accept subject matters including nudity and offensive language and symbols. All vendor booths must be manned throughout the event. Artists must be 18 or older. Each vendor receives one 10' x 10' exterior booth space. Booth fees are $150 for non-Toledo Zoo members and $130 for Zoo members. Vendors must provide their own tent, tables, chairs, and displays. Setup is available Friday 5–9 p.m., Saturday 7–8:30 a.m., and Sunday 7–8:30 a.m. Electricity is available upon request; vendors must provide their own heavy-duty outdoor extension cords.
Application fee is $25 (non-refundable). Applicants must submit 4 images of their medium and 1 image of their booth area. Application deadline is Friday, April 24, 2026. Notification of invitation is Monday, May 18, 2026. Artists must accept their invitation and pay booth fees by Monday, June 8, 2026. Cancellations made prior to July 6 will be refunded 75% of booth fees; cancellations on or after July 6 will not be refunded. Artists who do not check in by Saturday, August 8 at 8 a.m. will be considered a no-show and will be ineligible for refunds and future participation. Artists and up to three assistants receive free Zoo admission; names must be provided by July 6.
