About This Call
LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies are invited to submit artwork for WHO I AM: A Queer Perspective, presented by JOMO EQ (a Joplin, Missouri community support group) and Spiva Center for the Arts. This exhibition offers a formal space where queer-focused art is welcomed and can improve lives by making meaningful connections between queer artists and their supporters.
All mediums are accepted. The exhibition will be on display from September 5-28, 2024. Eligible artists include any LGBTQIA+ artists or allies living or working in the United States or its territories. Entry fee is $25.00 plus a $10.00 media fee. Submit 2-10 images of your work.
Work Requirements: 2-D work must be framed or on gallery-wrapped canvas and hang-ready with wire or D-ring hanging systems (no sawtooth hangers). All 3-D work must be display ready and shippable. Hanging works are limited to a maximum size of 18"x24". If accepted, artists must deliver or ship work at their own expense, including return shipping. Juried cash awards: $250 (1st Place), $150 (2nd Place), $100 (3rd Place). Contact: [email protected]
