Whimsy

Whimsy is a national juried exhibition that invites artists to explore the playful, the mysterious, and the magical through a variety of artistic mediums. As part of View's Whimsy curatorial series, this exhibition continues an investigation into wonder, transformation, and storytelling. While a variety of styles and subjects are welcome, emphasis will be placed on whimsical compositions that pair craftsmanship with a sense of lightness, curiosity, or imaginative flair. All subject matter is welcome provided it aligns with the theme of whimsy, and both representational and abstract approaches are encouraged.

Eligibility is open to U.S. residents 18 and older, including individuals or collaborative teams. Works must be original, completed within the past 3 years, and not previously exhibited at View. All mediums are welcome. Artwork must be exhibition-ready, wired for hanging (no sawtooth hangers), and labeled on the back with artist name, title, medium, and price or NFS notation. View reserves the right to decline any work that is misrepresented in images, arrives damaged, sheds pigment, or is not professionally presented.

Submit applications via CaFÉ by October 31, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Entry fee is $25.00. Applications should include an artist statement (250 words maximum), descriptions of submitted works, high-resolution images or video links, and a CV or short bio (optional but encouraged). Submit 3-5 images and up to 4 videos. Jurying will take place November 3-4, 2025, with selection notifications sent via email on November 5, 2025. By applying, artists grant View the right to use submitted images for jurying, web and social promotion, and press for this exhibition only, with credit.
