Whimsical Surrealism

This exhibition celebrates surrealism with a playful, whimsical approach. The show revels in playful logic, visual puns, and unexpected delights—where teacups sprout legs, furniture gets feelings, and gravity occasionally takes the afternoon off. The exhibition features immersive, playful vignettes and room-like installations with strange furniture, optical amusements, and tactile surprises.

The gallery is equipped to support wall-mounted works, pedestal-based sculpture, and immersive installations. Selected artists may be asked to assist with installation for more complex works. The call is open to emerging and established artists working in surrealism, conceptual art, or narrative-based practice, including painting, sculpture, digital media, installation, and animation. Work must incorporate elements of surrealism, whimsy, or fantastical imagery, with light-hearted, imaginative, or absurdist themes preferred over dark or heavy tones. Artists may submit up to 5 works for consideration, and installation proposals are welcome with diagrams and technical requirements.

Entry deadline is October 31, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Entry fee is $25.00. Submissions must include an artist statement (250 words max), descriptions of submitted works, high-resolution images or video links, and a CV or short bio (optional but encouraged). Submit via CaFÉ. Eligibility is open to local and international artists.
