Whidbey Working Artist Studio Tour 2025

Whidbey Working Artists Studio Tour takes place on beautiful Whidbey Island in the Pacific Northwest. All featured artists are living and working on the island. The event produces a full-color, high-quality catalogue, quadfold map, and extensive marketing to raise visibility and awareness of professional artists. This year the tour will collaborate with other events to increase attendance.

Up to 12 open studios are being accepted in the following zip codes: Clinton (98236), Langley (98260), Freeland (98249), Greenbank (98253), Coupeville (98239), and Oak Harbor (98277). If more than 12 studios apply in a given zip code, other artists within that zip code will be encouraged to align with a "host" studio. If signup in an adjacent zip code is less than 12, spots will open in adjacent zip codes.

Eligibility is limited to artists living and working within the listed zip codes. All participants must have an active Washington State Business License (UBI number) and membership to Whidbey Island Arts Council. Applicants must submit 3 professional quality images (JPEG/JPG, 1200 pixels or greater on longest side, 2-5 MB, sRGB color profile), an artist statement of 35 words or less, website or online presence information, and driving directions from Highway 525/20. All participants will be asked to work a minimum of 3 hours toward the tour's success, with roles including marketing and/or administration, and everyone will be expected to distribute catalogues. Entry fee is $250. Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis with a $50 administrative fee for withdrawals; no refunds are available if withdrawal occurs after the catalogue is proofed for print.
