Where Photography Meets Collage

New Orleans Photo Alliance and Kolaj Institute are seeking work by artists who collage their own photographs, make photomontage, or use a collage-like process in either the composition of photographs or in the darkroom. The call is open to any artwork where the artist feels the image speaks to the intersection of photography and collage. Artists must provide a brief statement explaining why their artwork is an example of photography and collage. Digitally manipulated images created to form a collage are accepted; however, AI-generated photos are not permitted.

Submission Requirements: Submit 1-5 images in JPEG or JPG format, under 5MB with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side. Entry fee is $25 for members or $35 for non-members. Submissions are open to all photographers internationally; NOPA membership is not required and all ages are accepted. Artists must have the legal right to exhibit and sell the images submitted. Fine arts nudes and implied nude works are acceptable.

Selected artists must deliver work framed and ready to hang by June 18, 2025. The exhibition runs June 25 - August 14, 2025. Artists are responsible for all shipping fees. The gallery receives 40 percent and the artist receives 60 percent of the retail price of works sold. Jury dates are May 19 - June 2, 2025, with artists notified of acceptance on June 1, 2025.
