What's So Funny?

Well Well Projects is accepting entries of visual art that makes use of humor and comedy. All mediums are welcome. The exhibition is focused on work that hits the funny bone—whether it's a good one-liner, slapstick, absurdist, cute and playful, tragic to the point of comedy, obtuse, ephemeral, performative, or anything in between. All submissions must be of actual artworks that are available from March 25 - April 25, 2021, and all works must be exhibition ready. Works will be accepted based on quality and how they coalesce with other works chosen for the exhibition.

Open to all USA-based artists. Entry fee is $20 per applicant. Submissions must include a PDF with artist name, website, Instagram handle (if applicable), combined bio and artist statement (300 words max), and CV (1-page max). Artists may submit a maximum of 3 entries. Images must be JPEG or JPG format, 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, and under 5 MB. Video work should be provided as a link to Vimeo or YouTube. In the description for each entry, please specify how the work is intended to be displayed. For 2D work, indicate if framed and provide frame dimensions and any specific hanging requirements. For 3D/sculptural work, provide dimensions and installation description. For video, explain how the work will be displayed and what equipment will be provided. Well Well Projects does not supply pedestals.

Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and return shipping labels. A prepaid return shipping label must be provided with the work or via email. Notification of acceptance or decline will be sent by March 7th. The exhibition runs April 3 - April 25, 2021. Well Well Projects does not handle the sale of artworks.
