About This Call

"What Matters Most?" is a teen art exhibition seeking artwork from artists ages 13-19 that speaks to the challenges, hopes, fears, and passions of your generation. The exhibition invites submissions addressing issues such as climate change, social justice, mental health, identity, the power of community, or dreams for the future.

Accepted mediums include: original paintings (watercolor, oil, acrylic, mixed media), fabric, mosaic, needlepoint, drawings, collage, quilting, digital art, photography, ceramics, and small 3-dimensional sculptures. Each artist may submit up to 6 artworks. The entry fee is $25 for up to 6 pieces. Submissions must include an artist statement, images/media of each piece, artist bio, and entry fee. No nudes, defamatory, or suggestive portrayals will be considered. Only artwork of professional presentation will be accepted. Wall-hung items must be appropriately framed and/or edges adequately finished with sturdy wire as the hanging medium. Three-dimensional works must be stable to stand on their own or submitted with adequate display stands and cannot exceed 4' h x 3' w or weigh more than 75 pounds.

The call for entries closes April 11, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Participants will be notified by April 30, 2025. The exhibition runs in Monmouth University's Pollak Gallery from May 16 – July 27, 2025.
