What Makes An Enduring Image?

Branner Spangenberg Gallery invites photographers to submit work for "What Makes An Enduring Image?" Exhibition dates: October 6 - November 12, 2017. The gallery seeks original 2D photography that rises to the level of being enduring or durable images. All photographic processes are welcome, including pinhole camera, daguerreotype, polaroid, gelatin silver print, arcade booth photographs, and found photographs.

Eligibility and Requirements: Open to artists residing in the San Francisco Bay Area. Artists must be able to drop off and pick up artwork in person; no mail-ins accepted. Artwork must be original and completed within the last three years or specifically for this exhibition. Framed or gallery wrap pieces should not exceed 24"x36" including frame. Glass or plexiglass accepted; use "D" ring hardware with hanging wire positioned 2/3 distance from bottom. All artwork must be for sale; Branner Spangenberg Gallery retains 50% commission on sales. Artwork must remain in the show until closing on November 12, 2017.

Submission Details: Submit up to 3 images online through CAFÉ for Artists. Entry fee: $35.00 (covers up to 3 entries). Additional images: $5.00 per image. One application per artist. Deadline: September 15, 2017 at 11:59:59 p.m. MDT. Notification of selection by email on September 17, 2017. A best of show will be voted on by attendees during the opening reception on Friday, October 6, 2017, 6-9pm. Jurors: Michael Pauker and Rolando Castellon.
