About This Call
The Indiana Arts Council produces the 2nd Annual Westsylvania Arts Festival on Memorial Day Weekend (May 23, 2026) from 11am to 6pm on the main street of historic Indiana, PA. The festival is held alongside the Delaney Chevrolet Westsylvania Jazz & Blues Festival, which attracts at least 1,500 people to Downtown Indiana. The ArtsFest includes three components: an art vendors street market, an art demo and hands-on experience zone, and an open arts exhibition.
Forty-five 10'x10' booth spaces are available at $75 each, arranged at curbs and the center of the main street. Exhibitors must provide their own flame-retardant tent. The festival is a "rain or shine" event. All work must be original and handcrafted by the approved artist; kits, imports, and mass-produced items are not acceptable. Artists must submit four images of their work and one booth shot for jury review. Selection is determined by professional quality of work and presentation, juried by representatives from the Indiana Arts Council, The Artists Hand Gallery, The Westsylvania Jazz & Blues Festival, and Downtown Indiana, Inc. Jury notification results are provided on a rolling basis within three weeks of application.
Vendors are invited to apply to the Westsylvania Open Arts Exhibit, a juried exhibition in local galleries with awards including purchase prizes. The application deadline is April 11, 2026. Booth fees are refundable at 50% until April 1. Cancellations after May 10 may result in forfeit of booth fee credit and non-acceptance in future years.
