Western Art Special Event

Life in the West Art Gallery invites artists to participate in a juried exhibit showcasing images of the West. All styles of 2D and 3D artwork will be considered in the following categories: Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Mixed Media, and Photography. Artwork will be juried by four professional artists. The exhibition showcases the Western Lifestyle, which may include cowboys, cowgirls, Native Americans, rodeos, ranches, livestock, mountain climbing, hiking, skiing, rafting, cycling, kayaking, trail riding, hunting, off-road activities, fishing, snowmobiling, and mountain biking.

Show dates are June 24-26, 2022. Entry deadline is May 20, 2022, with jury dates May 23-26, 2022 and artist notification on May 27, 2022. Art delivery dates are June 13-17, 2022. Entry fee is $40 for up to 3 images. Original works of 2D and 3D art are preferred, but high-quality prints are acceptable. Wall hanging artwork may not exceed 48" in width (including frame) and must be gallery ready with wire for hanging. Sculptures must not exceed 40 lbs, and no ceiling suspended sculptures are accepted. All artworks must be for sale and include a tag on the back with title, artist's name, and sales price. Artists retain 70% of sales; the gallery retains 30%. All sales are handled by the gallery, and artists will receive payment within 15 days of closing. Accepted artworks will be insured for 70% of the sales price while on premises. Unsold artworks may be picked up at closing or June 27-28, 2022 from 9am-5pm. All other artworks will be shipped by July 1, 2022. Shipped artwork must include a return prepaid shipping label (FedEx preferred, UPS accepted) and be packed in strong, reusable boxes with no Styrofoam peanuts or popcorn. The gallery is not responsible for return of artwork without a prepaid return shipping label. Artwork not picked up within 10 days of closing will be donated to charity unless prior arrangements are made. Open to all artists residing in the United States.
