West Michigan Area Show 2024

This longstanding juried exhibition showcases exceptional work in all media, drawing hundreds of entries from a 14-county region. Each year, an experienced juror selects work from more than 300 submitted entries. The 2024 juror is San Francisco-based gallerist Jessica Silverman. Over $5,000 will be awarded, including a $1,000 Helen Sheridan Memorial Grand Prize, plus additional awards for second through fifth place and specialized category prizes ranging from $150 to $1,000.

Eligibility is open to all artists 18 years or older residing in the following Michigan counties: Allegan, Barry, Berrien, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Eaton, Ionia, Kalamazoo, Kent, Muskegon, Ottawa, St. Joseph, and Van Buren. Artists may submit up to 3 works. Entry fees are $14 for the first work and $8 for each additional work. Only original work completed within the last 2 years will be accepted. Digital media, 2-D, and 3-D works in any medium are accepted, provided they do not exceed six feet on any side. All wall-hung works must be framed with proper hanging devices (wires and/or "D"-rings) attached. The exhibition runs from Friday, May 3 through Sunday, August 25, 2024. Artist notification is April 2, with drop-off on April 18-20 and 22. The awards and opening reception is Thursday, May 2.
