About This Call
The 30th West End Arts Festival is a juried fine art festival held in La Grange, Illinois, located 20 minutes west of Chicago. The event takes place September 12-13, 2026, from 10 am to 5 pm along Burlington Avenue with the historic Stone Avenue Metra train station as a backdrop. The festival is organized by the La Grange Business Association in cooperation with the Village of La Grange.
Accepted mediums include ceramics, drawing, fiber, paper, furniture, glass, jewelry, acrylic, oil, watercolor, pastel, sculpture, wood, metal, mixed media, collage, photography, and printmaking. Artists' work must be original and completed by the artist, who must be present at the event. Mass-produced, commercially made, or manufactured work is not permitted. Artwork created entirely through digital illustration or software-based drawing processes is not eligible; however, photography is permitted, including digitally enhanced or conceptually altered photography, provided the original image is captured by the artist. Artists are juried by a panel of professional art educators and working artists using a blind jurying process based on submitted images and a booth photo.
Booth options include Standard 10x10 ($375), Corner 10x10 ($450), Double 10x20 ($725), and Double Corner ($775). An Emerging Artist 10x10 booth is available at $225 for artists who have done fewer than two shows and have not previously participated. Jury fee is $35 (waived for previous award winners). Awards include Best of Show ($500), 1st Place ($250), 2nd Place ($150), and 3rd Place ($100). Award winners are invited back the following year with jury fee waived. Artist amenities include coordinated loading/unloading, Friday afternoon check-in and setup, booth sitters, overnight security, festival program listing, free parking, and food vendors. The application deadline is May 4, 2026. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing; a $100 cancellation fee applies, and no refunds are available 60 days prior to the event start date.
