Welcome to My World: Mental Health Awareness through Art

Welcome to My World: Mental Health Awareness through Art is an exhibition open to artists 18+ worldwide. Artists and photographers are encouraged to share their artistic vision of mental health in any medium. Artwork can range from realism to surrealism to abstraction, and may be 2D or 3D. Work can be based on experience with mental health, stigmas associated with mental health, and coping with mental health through art expression.

Entry fee is $30 for up to 10 images. Submit 1-10 images. Awards: Best of Show $500, 2nd Place $300, 3rd Place $200. Selection announcement is August 12, 2016. Accepted artwork will be exhibited at Miri Gallery (3605 S. West Temple, Salt Lake City UT 84115) and online from September 16 – October 7, 2016. Opening reception is September 16, 2016, 6 PM – 10 PM. Artwork must be received at the gallery August 20-26, 2016.

Artists are responsible for all shipping and transit insurance costs. Prepaid return shipping labels must be submitted with the work or online before the close of the exhibition. Wall pieces must include all hardware and be ready to hang. All accepted works must be for sale during the show, with the exception of installation works as approved by the Gallery Director. The Gallery retains a 30% commission from artwork sales. Upon selection, artists will provide a bio, artist statement, and title card information including title, materials, dimensions, and sale price. The Gallery reserves the right to photograph and use submitted images in publicity and promotional materials, with artist credit.
