Welch School Galleries: Call for Exhibition Proposals

The Ernest G. Welch School of Art and Design Galleries at Georgia State University seeks exhibition proposals from curators and artists for slots during the 2014–2015 and 2015–2016 academic years. Proposals in all media will be considered. The Gallery presents exhibitions featuring works by national and international artists, local and regional artists, as well as by Georgia State students, faculty and alumni artists. Programming supports the undergraduate and graduate programs of the Ernest G. Welch School of Art and Design and the Metro Atlanta art communities. The Gallery has two separate but adjacent galleries, and proposals can consider the use of one or both spaces.

A $20 application fee is required. Applicants may submit up to 10 images, and must also provide an exhibition concept statement and brief narrative bios for curators and artists. Work samples may include up to 10 images, 3 audio files, and 3 video files. Submissions are accepted online through Call for Entry. The deadline for submissions is January 27, 2014. Accepted proposals will be notified by March 1, 2014. Note that projected work requiring total darkness cannot be accommodated. Contact Cynthia Farnell at [email protected] with questions.
