Welch School Galleries: 100 at 100

The Ernest G. Welch School of Art and Design Galleries at Georgia State University seeks works in all media for a juried alumni art exhibition titled 100 at 100. The exhibit coincides with the year-long Centennial Celebration of Georgia State University and is open to all alumni of the Ernest G. Welch School of Art & Design. The exhibition will run August 15 through September 27, 2013, with 100 works selected by juror Dr. Jerry Cullum installed in both galleries in celebration of the breadth and accomplishment of the Welch School alumni.

A $35 entry fee is required, allowing artists to submit up to 5 entries for consideration. Work should be completed within the past 3 years. A resume and artist statement are also requested. Work sample requirements: up to 5 images, up to 1 audio file, and up to 1 video file (minimum 1 total sample required). Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from the exhibit. Works need to arrive ready to hang/install and must be representative of the images submitted. All work will be insured for its full value while on site. Note that projected work requiring total darkness cannot be accommodated, and works with audio elements require headphones.

Important dates: Deadline for submissions April 1, 2013; notification of accepted works by May 3, 2013; accepted works to be delivered August 1-5, 2013; reception Thursday, September 5, 2013 during the downtown Atlanta First Thursdays ArtsWalk.
