Weber State University Biennial Student Art & Design Exhibition

The 2020 Biennial Weber State University Student Art & Design Exhibition will take place at Weber State's Mary Elizabeth Dee Shaw Gallery from January 24 - April 3, 2020, with an opening reception on January 24th from 7-9 p.m. in the Kimball Visual Arts Building Atrium Lobby. Guest Juror Amy Jorgensen will give a lecture on opening night at 6 p.m., prior to the opening reception.

Eligibility is open to Weber State students regardless of program of study, currently enrolled for the 2019-2020 academic year. Works in all media are accepted. Entries must be works completed while at Weber State and within the last two years. Submissions are accepted online from November 1-30, 2019. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email by December 21, 2019. Accepted works must be delivered to the Shaw Gallery on Thursday, January 2nd, or Friday, January 3rd between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Works do not have to be framed, but an alternative hanging method must be specified and approved by the artist if accepted.

Entry fees are $15 for the first three entries and $5 for each additional entry, with a maximum of 5 total entries per artist. All entry fees are used for cash awards announced on opening night: Best of Show $300, Juror Award $150, Juror Award $150, College of Arts & Humanities Dean's Choice Award $150, and Honorable Mention awards. Work sample requirements: 3-6 images and 0-3 videos, with a total of 3-9 samples per submission.
