About This Call
The Women Environmental Artists Directory (WEAD) is sponsoring a competition to commission an award for Wells Fargo's Green Teams. Wells Fargo's Environmental Affairs team wishes to award employee efforts for green initiatives around the company. The award will be given quarterly to one of 45 Green Teams across the country, comprised of Wells Fargo employees.
The award should be recognizable as made from trash or refuse, valued as a precious prize, unique and unconventional. Green Team names or stories about their projects can be added to the trophy. Maximum dimensions are 18 in. W x 24 in. H x 12 in. D, with a maximum weight of 25 lbs. The award must be durable, pack and travel well, and align with Wells Fargo's brand messaging and values. It will travel four times a year across the country.
Eligibility is open to all professional ecoartists residing within the United States. Applicants should submit a maximum of eight images of past work and a brief written proposal by July 28, 2014. Three finalists will be selected and awarded a $200 honorarium each to submit a detailed maquette and supporting documentation. The winning artist will receive a $2,000 commission to produce and ship the final artwork. Schedule: Finalists notified August 4, 2014; detailed maquettes due September 8, 2014; winner notified September 15, 2014 with $1,000 (50% of commission) awarded; final artwork due October 27, 2014; balance of $1,000 paid November 17, 2014. Contact: Judith Blankman ([email protected]) or Sharon Siskin ([email protected]).
