About This Call
We Made This is a two-day art fair celebrating Women's History Month, taking place March 7-8, 2026 at The Machine Shop in Northeast Minneapolis. The fair will feature over 65 women and gender-expansive artists across both floors of the historic venue. The event is free to attend and open to all.
Eligibility: This event is open to women and woman-identifying artists, including cis women, trans women, and nonbinary or gender-expansive individuals who identify with womanhood in any way. For artist duos or teams, at least 50% of the group must identify as a woman, and a woman-identifying artist must be on-site during all event hours. Artists must be present during the event, though staff, family, or friends may work the booth at times.
Application Requirements: Artists must submit five images (four of current work and one booth image) along with a $15 non-refundable jury fee per media category. All work to be exhibited must be represented in the images. Artists may apply once per media category. The jury process uses a competitive scoring system with three jurors rating applications on a 1-10 scale. Approximately 150 applications are received annually, with 65 artists selected to participate.
Booth Options and Fees: Standard 8x8 booth - $375 (main floor); Standard corner 8x8 booth - $450 (main floor); Discounted 8x8 booth - $275 (2nd floor). Double booths are available by purchasing two single booths. Booth fees must be paid by February 9, 2026. The cancellation deadline is February 13, 2026; no refunds are given for cancellations after this date.
Rules: No sell-through items or AI art. Artists may only sell items represented in their application and within their juried media category. All work must be for sale. Artists retain 100% of sales and are responsible for sales tax collection and reporting. Booths must remain open during all festival hours. Artists are responsible for insurance and protection of their work; We Made This Art Fair and Homespun Events are not responsible for loss or damages.
