Wayne Art Center Regional Juried Spring Open

Wayne Art Center's 2019 Regional Juried Spring Open is an exhibition featuring works in drawing, painting, works on paper, mixed media, sculpture, 3D printing technology, ceramics, metals, glass, jewelry, and fiber. The exhibition runs from March 31 to May 4, 2019, at Wayne Art Center, 413 Maplewood Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087. Artists from PA, NJ, NY, DE, MD, and Washington, DC, are eligible to submit up to two original works created after January 1, 2017. The entry fee is $45 for up to 2 artworks. Additional entries may be submitted with a second application and additional $45 fee. 3D work should not weigh more than 75 lbs. All accepted work must be hand-delivered to and retrieved from Wayne Art Center; no shipped work will be accepted. Artwork must remain on display throughout the exhibition duration.

The juror is Stuart Shils, a contemporary American landscape painter. Prizes totaling $3,000 will be awarded and presented at the Opening Reception on March 31, 2019, from 3-5 pm. Work samples should include 1-4 images at minimum 300 dpi resolution. For 3D works, a detail image may be submitted along with the overall image. Collaborative work is accepted; include all artists' names on the application. All work must be submitted installation ready and for sale at a price that remains constant throughout the exhibition. Wayne Art Center will retain 40% commission on sales. Hand delivery of work is scheduled for March 22 (9am-7pm) or March 23 (9am-4pm). Retrieval of work is May 6 (9am-5pm) or May 7 (9am-5pm).
