Watercolor Ohio 2026

Ohio Watercolor Society's 49th Annual Juried Exhibition will be held at Canticle Center – Lourdes University, 5335 Silica Dr, Sylvania, OH 43560, from September 26 – October 30, 2026. The juror of selection and awards is Ratindra Das, an award-winning watercolor artist and Dolphin Fellow of the American Watercolor Society.

Eligible artists must be Associate, Signature, or Lifetime members of the Ohio Watercolor Society. Nonmembers may join as an Associate for $35 prior to submission. Eligible work includes watercolor, thinned acrylic, casein, gouache, and egg tempera on any supporting material. Paintings must have been completed within the past three years and be original work only. Collage materials must be artist-generated using water-based medium, with maximum depth of 2-1/2 inches. No work previously exhibited in Watercolor Ohio may be submitted. All entries must be matted, framed, and wired, ready to hang. Maximum frame size is 44" in either direction. Minimum image size is 121 square inches. Weight limit is 40 pounds. Plexiglas only (no glass). Single mat or top mat must be white or off-white.

Entries open January 19, 2026 and are due by 11:59pm on April 3, 2026. Notification of entrants will be in early May. Delivery of accepted works is July 18-19, 2026 (hand-delivery only). Entry fees are $30 for the first entry and $10 for a second entry; only one entry can be accepted. Accepted artists will be charged a $20 hanging fee. Awards are decided by the juror based on review of actual paintings and have averaged more than $5000 in cash and materials in previous years. Sales commission is 30% to OWS, with 70% to the artist.
