WATER

WATER is an online exhibition open to all artists age 18 and over, produced by the Marin Society of Artists. The exhibition theme explores water in all its forms—from seas and oceans to lakes, clouds, rain, waterfalls, and rainbows. Artists are invited to submit work that shows the beauty and power of water. The show will be presented in two forms: an online presentation in the MSA Virtual Gallery that includes artwork price and artist contact information, and a video version showing all works that will remain available after the show closes.

Artists may submit 3 to 10 digital images. Eligible media includes painting, photography, printing, sculpture, digital art, fabric art, fine art crafts, and more. Video and installation art are not accepted. Digital entries must be submitted via the CaFE application by January 14, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fees are $35 for non-members (3 pieces) or $30 for MSA members (3 pieces), with an additional $7 fee for each additional piece up to 10 total. The exhibition runs from January 30 through March 31, 2023. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email on January 22, 2023, and an online list of accepted artwork will be posted on the MSA website.

Awards include First Prize ($500), Second Prize ($300), Third Prize ($100), and several non-monetary Honorable Mention awards at the juror's discretion. The juror is Kim Eagles-Smith, Director of the Kim Eagles-Smith Gallery in Mill Valley, California. A virtual Zoom reception will be held on Sunday, February 5 at 5 p.m. PST. No more than 2 works by any one artist will be included in the final selection. Artwork previously shown in a Marin Society of Artists juried-entry exhibition will not be accepted.
