WAOWing the Mountain State

WAOWing the Mountain State is an exhibition open to all WAOW members working in all mediums, excluding photography and digital art. The exhibition runs February 6-28 at Saks Galleries in Denver, CO.

Eligibility and Requirements: Original work completed within the past two years that has not been exhibited in previous WAOW shows is eligible. Artwork must be available for sale. Painting image dimensions may not exceed 40" by 30". Work created with guidance of an instructor is not eligible. 3D work cannot be in an edition of more than 35 pieces. Work must be professionally framed and ready to hang with no saw-tooth hangers. Two copies of the artist's biography without personal contact information must be included, one affixed to the back of the work and one for show files.

Entry and Awards: Entry fee is $50 for up to three submissions or $60 for up to five submissions. Submissions must be made online at www.CallForEntry.org with a deadline of December 1, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Three digital images are required. Entrants will be notified by December 15. Awards include Best of Show ($1,000), 1st Place ($500), 2nd Place ($250), 3D Place ($100), and three Jury Awards ($100 each) for both 2D and 3D categories. Accepted work must arrive at Saks Galleries between January 26-30, 2009. The opening reception and awards presentation is February 6. Sales split: 20% Gallery, 20% WAOW, 60% Artist (3D work: 20% Gallery, 13% WAOW, 67% Artist). Unsold work must be shipped or picked up by March 3. Saks Galleries will pay artists by March 30.
