WAOW Inc.: 43rd National Exhibition 'WAOWing the Centennial State'

The 43rd National Exhibition 'WAOWing the Centennial State' is open to all WAOW members working in all mediums, excluding photography, digital art, and fiber art. Eligible work must be original pieces completed within the past two years (2011–2013) that have not been exhibited in previous WAOW juried shows. Three-dimensional works must be no more than three years old (2010–2013) and exhibited no more than twice in any WAOW juried exhibition, with edition size limited to 45. Artwork must be available for sale. Painting image dimensions may not exceed 24" by 36" (unframed). Sculptures must be no larger than 36" tall by 24" deep/wide or weigh over 60 lbs. Work created with instructor guidance or in a workshop setting is not eligible.

Submissions are made online at www.CallForEntry.org. Artists may submit up to five pieces for consideration, but a maximum of three pieces will be selected for inclusion in the show. Entry fee is $50 for three submissions, $55 for four submissions, or $60 for five submissions. Work samples must include a minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 images. The entry deadline is May 1, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Entrant notifications will be emailed and posted online on May 7. Shipped work must arrive June 24–28, 2013. Hand-delivered work is accepted June 27–29, 2013 from 12–5 p.m. at Cultural Arts Council Fine Art Gallery, 423 W. Elkhorn Avenue, Estes Park, CO 80517.

The exhibition runs July 6–28, 2013. Awards include Best of Show ($1,000), 1st Place ($500), 2nd Place ($250), 3rd Place ($100), three Jury Awards ($100 each), and the Allen Award ($100) for the best plein air painting. The judge of awards is Karen Vance. Sales split: 2D work is 40% gallery, 55% artist, 5% to WAOW; 3D work is 35% gallery, 60% artist, 5% to WAOW. Artists will be paid by August 12, 2013.
