Walk in the Sun Umbrella Artwork Contest

This contest is an excellent opportunity for Arizona 2D artists (painters, printmakers, muralists, graphic designers, weavers, fabric artists, etc.) to step outside their studio practice and get involved with public art.

Submission Requirements: Submit five digital images showing your best, previously completed two-dimensional artwork. Digital images must be JPEG only, under 5 MB each, and 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side. Do not include more than one image in each JPEG, do not submit design proposals for umbrella artwork, and do not put your name on the JPEGs. Also submit a short, one-paragraph biography that may include artwork inspiration, experience, and education. Include an image list with artwork title, dimensions, and completion date. If any work represents a collaboration with other artists, list them and describe your and their roles in creating the work.

Submissions are due Thursday, September 25, 2020 at 10:59 p.m. (local AZ time). Late applications will not be considered. There is no fee to apply. Artist selection and notification will occur in mid-November.
