WACC 130th Annual Juried Art Exhibition

The Woman's Art Club of Cincinnati, the oldest existing Woman's Art Club operating without interruption in the United States, invites submissions for its 130th Annual Juried Art Exhibition, running April 1-30, 2023 at the Woman's Art Club Cultural Center (The Barn), 6980 Cambridge Avenue, Mariemont, OH 45227.

Eligibility: Women only, at least 18 years of age, residing in Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky. Submissions must be original artwork created within the last three years and not previously exhibited in a juried exhibition. Computer-generated art will not be accepted. Maximum two entries per artist (only one may be accepted). Work must be for sale and ready to hang with appropriate hardware. Frames are required for most 2-D pieces; exceptions include gallery-wrap stretched canvas at least 1.5" deep, wall-mounted pieces designed without frames, and 3-D works. Wall art including frame must not exceed 40" x 40". Sculpture and 3-D work must fit on a 20" x 20" x 39" pedestal. Photography cannot be digitally enhanced or manipulated. Accepted artwork must be hand-delivered and retrieved in person; no shipped works accepted.

Entry deadline: February 28, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fee: $50 for WACC members with current dues, $65 for non-members (covers up to two entries). Jurors include Jennifer Purdum (Miami University), David C. Smith (Eisele Gallery), and Dr. Julie Aronson (Cincinnati Art Museum Curator). Awards total over $3,500, including a $1,500 Best of Show Award. A 20% commission from sales is required. Acceptance notification: March 13. Hand delivery: March 28-29. Exhibition reception and awards presentation: April 8 at 1-3 PM. Gallery hours: Tuesday-Friday 10 AM-2 PM, Saturday-Sunday 1-4 PM. Artwork pickup: May 2, 4-6 PM (in-person retrieval only).
