WACC 128th Annual Juried Art Exhibition

The Woman's Art Club of Cincinnati, the oldest existing Woman's Art Club operating without interruption in the United States, is hosting its 128th Annual Juried Art Exhibition from April 6-25, 2021 at the Woman's Art Club Cultural Center (The Barn), 6980 Cambridge Avenue, Mariemont, OH 45227. The exhibition showcases fine art works produced by women from Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. The jurying process focuses on craftsmanship, color, and composition with an emphasis on diversity in style and subject. Computer-generated art will not be accepted.

Eligibility is limited to women at least 18 years of age who reside in Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky. Entries are digital and submitted online via CaFÉ. Artists may submit up to two entries (only one may be accepted) for a $50 fee for WACC members in good standing or $65 for non-members. Work must be original, created within the last three years, not previously in a juried exhibition, and must be for sale. A 20% commission from sales is required. The exhibition will be juried by Jeanne McLeish and judged by L. Diana Young. Awards total more than $3,500, with a Best of Show Award of $1,500.

Work specifications: 2-D pieces require frames (exceptions include gallery-wrap stretched canvas, wall-mounted pieces, fabric pieces, works on panels, wall sculptures, and 2-D glass art). Wall art including frame must not exceed 40" x 40". Sculpture, glass, and 3-D artwork must fit on a 20" x 20" x 39" pedestal. Photography cannot be digitally enhanced, manipulated, or altered. All work must be hand-delivered and retrieved; no shipped works accepted. Accepted artwork must be delivered March 31 or April 1 and picked up by April 27. The entry deadline is February 28, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Acceptance notification will be sent by email on March 15.
