About This Call
Footlite Musicals seeks volunteers for multiple roles essential to the success of productions. Ushers, house managers, pub, and box office volunteers help create a welcoming environment for patrons. Volunteers can sign up for specific dates and positions through Civic Champs, a volunteer management app. Sign-up links are posted two to three weeks before each show on the Footlite Facebook group, website, and volunteer mailing list. Contact the volunteer committee at [email protected] for questions or assistance.
Footlite Musicals also welcomes musicians to lend their talents to musical productions. Directors and musical directors determine ensemble participation through selection or audition. Rehearsal time varies depending on the show's difficulty level. All work is voluntary and unpaid. Musicians interested in volunteering should contact the volunteer committee at [email protected].
Director proposals for the 2026-2027 season must be submitted by September 15 via https://form.jotform.com/242484862132154. The season includes productions in September, March, and May (3 weeks, 11 performances each); a November holiday production (4 weeks, 14 performances); a January cabaret-style production (3 weeks, 9 performances); and a July Young Artist production for ages 13-19 (2 weeks, 7 performances). First-time Footlite Musicals directors are strongly preferred to serve as assistant directors first. Proposed staff must include at least one producer with prior Footlite Musicals experience, and lighting designers, technical directors, and stage managers should have prior experience at Footlite Musicals or similarly sized venues. For questions about director proposals, contact [email protected].
