About This Call
VIVID is an annual juried exhibition at d'Art Center featuring 2D and 3D artworks from across the country in all mediums that are exceptionally vibrant, bold, loud, and/or brilliant in color. The exhibition will be co-curated by Gallery Director Amanda Bradley and juror/artist Hillarey Breedlove, a painter from Suffolk, Virginia who creates large-scale bold, expressive paintings exploring themes of identity, sexuality, and consumerism.
The exhibition is open to all artists 18 or older residing in the United States. All work must be original, created without the aid of an instructor or kit, and produced within the last eight years. All styles and aesthetics are considered, and content should be appropriate for all viewers. Work must be hang or pedestal ready. Works cannot exceed 50 pounds or be longer/larger than 60 inches in its longest dimension; size and weight restrictions may be waived by contacting the Gallery Manager prior to submission. Artists can submit 3-10 images for jury consideration. The $35 entry fee covers 3 entries; each additional submission over 3 is $5. A $5 media fee also applies. Entry deadline is July 20, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Notifications will be sent by email by 5pm on July 28, 2025. Accepted works must arrive by 5pm on September 6, 2025.
The exhibition runs September 13 - October 18, 2025, with a reception on Friday, September 19, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Awards include 1st Place ($500), 2nd Place ($300), and 3rd Place ($150). The exhibition will be featured digitally on d'Art Center's archive site and a Facebook Live video of the reception awards will be uploaded to YouTube. Gallery commission on sales is 60% artist, 40% d'Art Center. Artists are responsible for shipping costs. Works must include pre-paid return labels through FedEx or UPS. Works not picked up within one month of the exhibition end become property of d'Art Center. Artist statements of 555 characters or less should be submitted via the Call for Entries platform.
