Visual Arts Showcase, 29th Annual

Visual artists in Oregon are invited to submit their work to Beaverton's 2011 Visual Arts Showcase, held November 4-13, 2011, in the Beaverton City Library. Showcase artists will be honored at an invite-only Preview on Friday, November 4th, and an opening night gala on Saturday, November 5th, 2011. Prizes will be awarded including four $200 first place awards and a $500 "Best of Show" prize.

Eligibility: Artists must live in Oregon. All work must be original and completed within the last two years. An accepted piece from a previous Showcase may not be entered again. All artwork must be for sale with a maximum sales price of $5,000. No student work or work done in a class is eligible. A total of four works may be submitted. Work sample requirements: 1-4 images.

Entries must be submitted by Friday, August 5, 2011. Notification of acceptance will occur the week of September 9, 2011. Accepted artworks must be delivered to Beaverton City Library on Friday, October 28th, 2011, from Noon to 3 p.m. Artwork must be picked up on Sunday, November 13th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. There is no entry fee. Selected artists will be asked to pay a $30 hanging fee at the time of artwork delivery. Artists must volunteer at least three hours during the Showcase exhibition. A 30% commission will be taken from all sales.
