Visual Art: Urban Collage and the Collage City

Feral Factory Ltd., in partnership with Denver's River North Art District (RiNo), is seeking visual art which explores cities, city life, and urbanism. This is an international call to all visual artists 18+, for artwork which celebrates and critiques cities and city life. The show will take place at the Crash exhibition space in RiNo and will display more than one hundred pieces in rotation. Exhibition dates are April 1st – June 26th, 2017.

Entry fee is $35.00 for a minimum of 3 pieces, with an additional $10.00 per piece up to a maximum of 10 images. Work must have been completed in the last five years (2012–present) and must embody the subject matter of cities, urbanism, and city life. Accepted 2-D work must be framed and ready to hang. All artwork entered must be for sale, with the artist receiving 60% of the retail sale price. Sale proceeds will be paid to the artist within 30 days of the end of the exhibition. Accepted works must be received no later than March 24th, 2017. Artists will be notified of their selection via email no later than March 3rd, 2017.

During the exhibition, Feral Factory will host three highly publicized events, four salons, multiple receptions, and four First Fridays at the show. Additionally, there will be workshops, talks, and other events bringing the community and buyers to the exhibition. Awards include Best of Show ($500 USD) and Special Merit ($100 USD). Artwork is insured for 60% of its retail value against theft or total loss while on premises. The artist is responsible for freight and insurance to and from the gallery; local artists may arrange to hand deliver and pick up accepted work. Shipping and delivery instructions will be sent to accepted artists at the time of notification of acceptance.
