Vision: Color Photography

Black Box Gallery is hosting a juried group color photography exhibition. The show seeks contemporary color photography across all genres including landscape, portraiture, architecture, fashion, street, abstract, documentary, still life, narrative, conceptual projects, nature, and night photography. The juror is Todd Johnson, founder and director of Black Box Gallery, who holds an MFA in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute and has 25 years of experience in arts education and curation.

Entry deadline is November 11, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fee is $40. Photographers may submit 1-5 images. The exhibition runs December 1-20, 2022. The juror will select 24 photographs for exhibition at the gallery and an additional 30 photographs for the online gallery annex. All 54 photographs will be included in a catalog available for purchase on Blurb Books.

Black Box Gallery provides free printing, matting, and framing for all selected work. Prints are produced on an Epson Stylus Pro archival inkjet printer on Epson Premium Luster Photo paper in a color-calibrated environment. Exhibition prints are 18" x 24" in black frames with white mats pre-cut for 12" x 18", 12" x 12", and 12" x 16" prints. Selected photographers must provide high-resolution TIFF or JPEG files. Exhibition prints are retained in the gallery's flat file after the show for promotion and sale. Black Box Gallery takes a 50% commission on all sales, with 50% going to the photographer. All rights remain with the photographer, and no sale or printing occurs without prior consent. Artists may elect for prints to be exhibition and promotion only, not for sale. The opportunity is open to international photographers.
