About This Call
The Virtual Lubbock Studio Tour 2020 is an online exhibition open to artists who live in Lubbock County, Texas and have been juried into the show. The event takes place Saturday, November 14th, 10AM-6PM, and Sunday, November 15th, Noon-5PM. It will be held online through the lubbockstudiotour.org website, featuring a series of videos and photos showcasing participating artists in their creative spaces.
The exhibition will highlight 30 artists and 30 studios, with each artist featured in their own creative environment—whether a kitchen table, spare bedroom, patio, or separate building. Artists will provide current pictures of themselves working, artworks in progress, and the tools/supplies they use. The event is free and open to the public. Artwork will be purchased directly from the artist; contact information including telephone number, email, and website will be included on the website.
Each artist will provide five images of artwork for sale to be displayed on the website. There is no cost to participate. Artists are asked not to commit to other events during Studio Tour weekend to be responsive to customer inquiries and to participate in marketing efforts including social media promotion. The Lubbock Arts Alliance intends to promote the event through direct mailing, posters, paid online advertising, and television/radio interviews. Membership in the Arts Alliance is encouraged but optional.
