Virtual City Host Digital Wall

The City of El Paso Museums and Cultural Affairs Department in collaboration with El Paso International Airport seeks to establish a pool of artists or artist teams from the Greater El Paso area for the Virtual City Host Digital Wall. Selected artists will have their digital work displayed as a background image for a three-month period in a designated space at El Paso International Airport, showcasing El Paso as an international cultural destination to hundreds of thousands of visitors and guests.

Eligibility: Applicants must be independent artists or artist teams 18 and over residing in the Greater El Paso area, which includes Las Cruces, New Mexico and Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. Submission requirements include a letter of interest, current resume, and six images of completed past artworks with title, dimensions, medium, year of completion, a three-sentence description, and value or budget amount for insurance purposes. Images must be sized to 1920 x 1920 pixels in Baseline JPEG format, no more than 1.8 MB in file size. Artist teams may submit only six images total and must include a resume for each member.

Selection is based foremost upon artistic excellence, with consideration given to geographic and cultural diversity, variety of genres and media, and feasibility of the proposal. Selected artists will submit a camera-ready image measuring exactly 7680 x 2160 pixels. Artists will not receive compensation for exhibiting.
