About This Call
Viridian Artists presents the 32nd Annual International Juried Exhibition. The entry deadline is November 30, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MST. The exhibition will be held January 3-28, 2023, with an opening reception on Thursday, January 5, 6-8pm at the Chelsea gallery space.
The juror is Heather Ferrell, Curator and Director of Exhibitions at Burlington City Arts, Vermont. Artists of all mediums and genres are encouraged to apply, including painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional, digital, photography, installation, and mixed media. Full-time students are not eligible. Work sample requirements: minimum 3 images, maximum 20 images; maximum 1 video; total samples between 3 and 21. Entry fee is $45.00, with an additional $5.00 media fee per image.
Size limitations for wall-hung work are 60 inches high by 60 inches wide (including frame). Free-standing work may not exceed 30 inches wide by 30 inches deep by 96 inches high. Modular work or installations may be larger. All accepted 2D work must be suitably framed and wired for hanging with plexiglass only, no glass. Sculptors may be required to supply pedestals where necessary. Complex installations may require the presence of the artist. Cash awards: 1st prize $300, 2nd prize $200, 3rd prize $100. All winners will be part of the group show and listed on Viridian's website. Sales are encouraged with the gallery taking a 20% commission.
