Viridian Artists Presents the 31st International Juried Exhibition

Viridian Artists presents the 31st Annual International Juried Exhibition. The entry deadline is Monday, August 16, 2021. The exhibition will be held September 7-October 2, 2021, with an opening reception on Thursday, September 9, 6-8pm at the Chelsea gallery space. The juror is Susan Harris, an independent curator and writer of contemporary art in New York City.

Artists of all mediums and genres are encouraged to apply, including painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional, digital, photography, installation, and mixed media. The exhibition will consist of two-dimensional and three-dimensional artworks. Wall-hung work is limited to 60 inches high by 60 inches wide (including frame). Free-standing work may not exceed 30 inches wide by 30 inches deep by 96 inches high. Modular work or installations may be larger. Full-time students are not eligible.

Cash awards are offered for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners: $300, $200, and $100 respectively. All winners will be part of the group show and listed on Viridian's website. The entry fee is $45.00 plus a $5.00 media fee. Applicants must submit 3-20 images. All accepted 2D work must be suitably framed and wired for hanging with plexiglass only (no glass). Sculptors may be required to supply pedestals. Complex installations may require the presence of the artist. The gallery takes a 20% commission on sales.
