Viridian Artists Presents The 28th Annual International Juried Exhibition

Viridian Artists presents the 28th Annual International Juried Exhibition. The extended deadline for entries is April 16, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Early entries ending March 11 cost $35 for 3 works with $5 for each additional work. Regular entries from March 12 to April 16 cost $45 for 3 works with $5 for each additional work. Applicants must submit a minimum of 3 images and a maximum of 20 images.

The juror is Susan Thompson, Assistant Curator at the Guggenheim Museum and organizing curator for the Young Collectors Council, which acquires the work of emerging artists for the permanent collection. Cash awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners. All winners will be part of a group show in Viridian's Chelsea gallery space and listed on Viridian's website. The exhibition runs from June 27 to July 15, 2017, with an opening reception on June 29 from 6-8 p.m.

The exhibition accepts two-dimensional and three-dimensional artworks in all media. Wall-hung work is limited to 60 inches high by 60 inches wide including frame. Free-standing work may not exceed 30 inches wide by 30 inches deep by 96 inches high. Modular work or installations may be larger. All accepted 2D work must be suitably framed and wired for hanging, with plexiglass preferable to glass. Sculptors may be required to supply pedestals where necessary. Complex installations may require the artist's presence. Sales are encouraged, and the gallery takes a 20% commission.
