About This Call
The 54th Annual Virginia Fall Foliage Festival Art Show will take place on the downtown streets of historic Waynesboro, Virginia. The show features 150+ fine artists set in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. This exhibit is produced by Shenandoah Valley Art Center, a non-profit community arts organization, whose mission is to increase arts awareness and education while providing creative and economic opportunities for artists. This exhibit is consistently voted among the Best of Virginia and is the largest outdoor art festival in the Shenandoah Valley.
The show awards $10,000 in prizes including $2000 Best in Show, $1150 Second Place, $850 Third Place, and 20 additional category awards. The event features excellent community support, easy load in and load out, booth sitters, coffee and snacks all day, and excellent food on site. An extensive marketing plan includes print, radio, television, and digital outlets, with approximately 20,000 visitors annually.
This show has a rolling jury system, juried each month with the last jury held August 1. Jury notifications go out each month on the 15th until August. Eligible media includes oil and acrylic painting, watermedia, photography, drawing/graphics/printmaking, 2D mixed media, glass, wood, sculpture, jewelry, fiber/textile, and pottery. All work must be original and handcrafted. The outdoor event is held rain or shine with no refunds due to weather. Booth spaces are 10'x11' with single booths at $210, double booths at $420, and triple booths at $630. White tents are required and must be properly weighted as the show is on asphalt.
