Village Square Art Fair 2026

The Village Square Art Fair, sponsored by the Saugatuck Douglas Art Club, is a 70-year tradition held July 4, 2026 from 10am to 5pm in Village Square, encompassing the campuses around Main and Butler Streets in downtown Saugatuck. This outdoor event welcomes artists, makers, and craftspeople across all mediums to display and sell their work. The fair draws upwards of two to three thousand visitors. Booth spaces are approximately 10' x 10', with booth fees of $150 due upon acceptance. Setup begins at 7am on the day of the fair.

Artists may only exhibit work in the category in which they are accepted, and all work must be created and produced by the artist. Reselling of bought products and vendors displaying for recruitment, retail, or solicitation are not permitted. Artists are responsible for holding proper insurance and protection of their work and setup, as the Saugatuck Douglas Art Club will not be responsible for damage due to weather or unrelated incidents. Artists must also collect and pay State of Michigan sales tax.

The fair is rain or shine. Booth rental refunds are only granted to individuals unable to attend who submit refund requests prior to June 13, 2026. Application fees are not refundable. Parking is available at the Saugatuck Church parking lot on Allegan Street, with a free shuttle bus running from 7am to 10:30am and available throughout the day for $1 each way. Exhibitors are not allowed to bring pets, and tent weights only are permitted (no stakes allowed due to underground sprinklers). Proceeds from the fair fund scholarships for local graduates pursuing degrees in the arts and support the art departments of Saugatuck and Fennville schools.
