ViewPoint Gallery 2026 International Photography Competition

ViewPoint Gallery, a dynamic photography gallery located in historic Bedford, Nova Scotia, near downtown Halifax, is hosting an international photography competition. ViewPoint is dedicated solely to photography and is the only co-operative photography gallery in Atlantic Canada.

Eligible applicants may be located anywhere in the world. Current ViewPoint members and their immediate families are ineligible. Only images submitted by the artists who created them and hold sole copyright will be considered. The entry fee is $25 US for 3 images. The deadline for submissions is April 15, 2026.

An independent jury of established photographers will select 12 images for exhibition. The 12 winning images will be professionally printed, matted, and framed at no cost to the photographer and displayed at the gallery for one month between June 2026 and May 2027. Winners will also have the opportunity to become Virtual Associates of the Gallery, with a free profile page on the website for one year. The 12 winning photographs will be promoted on ViewPoint's website, newsletter, and social media channels. Winning images will be available for sale (unframed) at a price set by the artist. If sold in the gallery, the artist receives the full sale price minus a 15% processing fee. Unsold prints will be disposed of in a confidential and safe manner within one year of exhibiting and will not be returned.
