ViewPoint 56

The Cincinnati Art Club, the second oldest art club in the nation, invites artists to enter ViewPoint 56, a National Juried Competition open to fine art in all media except photography, video, crafts, fiber, AI or computer-generated art, painting on photos or prints, and jewelry. The competition is open to all artists 18 years of age and older. All work must be recent and original, completed since January 1, 2022, and must be for sale.

The exhibit will be hosted by Eisele Gallery in the Village of Mariemont and will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays from August 23 through September 14, 2024. The Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Framed artwork dimensions must not exceed 48" wide by 48" high (frame included) and must be suitably framed and ready for hanging. Free standing sculpture must not exceed 36" x 36" x 60" high. Wall sculpture must adhere to the same dimensions as paintings and is limited to a depth of 15".

Entry fees are $50 for a single entry, $25 for a second entry, and $25 for a third entry. Use coupon code VP56 to get the 4th entry free. Awards include 1st Place $3,000, 2nd Place $1,000, 3rd Place $750, plus a Special OKI Award of $500 for artists currently living in Ohio, Kentucky, or Indiana. Additional cash and in-kind awards will be announced. A 50 percent commission is payable to the gallery from each sale. Selection results will be emailed by Saturday, July 20, 2024. Shipped works must be delivered to Eisele Gallery by Thursday, August 14, 2024. Hand-delivered works are accepted Thursday and Friday, August 15 and 16, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
