ViewPoint 52 Cincinnati Art Club

The Cincinnati Art Club, the second oldest art club in the nation, hosts ViewPoint 52, an open juried exhibition celebrating 52 years of the event. This competition is open to fine art in all media except photography. The exhibition will be hosted by Art Design Consultants and open daily from September 12-24, 2020, with an opening reception and awards ceremony on Friday, September 11, 2020.

Eligibility is open to all artists 18 years of age and older. All work must be original in concept and executed by the entrant after January 1, 2017. All artwork must be for sale with a 50 percent commission payable from each sale. Previous top award winners from 2018 or 2019 (1st, 2nd, 3rd Place or Gallery Representation) are acceptable but ineligible to win those awards in 2020. Excluded media include photography, crafts, fiber, computer-generated art, painting on photos, jewelry, and paintings created in workshops or classes.

Entry fees are $50 for a single entry, $25 for a second entry, and $25 for a third entry. Use coupon code VP52 for a free fourth entry. Framed artwork dimensions must not exceed 48" wide (frame excluded) and must be suitably framed and ready for hanging. Gallery-wrapped canvas is acceptable. Free standing sculpture must not exceed 36" x 36" x 60" high. Wall sculpture must adhere to painting dimensions with a depth limit of 15". Awards include 1st Place $3,000, 2nd Place $1,000, 3rd Place $750, plus additional cash and in-kind awards to be announced. Selection results will be emailed August 4, 2020, and publicized on the CAC website August 10, 2020.
