ViewPoint 51 Cincinnati Art Club

ViewPoint 51 is an open juried exhibition for fine art in all media, except photography. The Cincinnati Art Club, the second oldest art club in the nation, is celebrating 51 years with this competition. The exhibition will be hosted by Art Design Consultants and open daily from August 30 through September 20, 2019, with the opening reception and awards on Friday, August 30, 2019.

This exhibition is open to all artists 18 years of age and older. All work must be original in concept and executed by the entrant after January 1, 2016. All artwork must be for sale with a 50 percent commission payable from each sale. "Price on Request" is not acceptable. The following media are excluded: photography, crafts, fiber, computer-generated art, painting on photos, jewelry, and paintings created in workshops or classes. Previous award winners from 2017 and 2018 (1st, 2nd, 3rd Place or Gallery Representation) are eligible but ineligible to win those same awards in 2019. Entrants are eligible for one award only.

Entry fees are $50 for a single entry, $25 for a second entry, and $25 for a third entry. Use coupon code VP51 to get the 4th entry free. Framed artwork dimensions shall not exceed 48" wide (frame excluded) and must be suitably framed and ready for hanging. Gallery-wrapped canvas finished and/or painted on all sides is acceptable. Free standing sculpture must not exceed 36" x 36" x 60" high and must be stable or attached to a stable base. Wall sculpture must adhere to the same dimensions as paintings and is limited to a depth of 15". Awards include 1st Place $3,000, 2nd Place $1,000, 3rd Place $750, plus additional cash and in-kind awards to be announced. Selection results will be emailed July 26, 2019 and publicized on the CAC website July 29, 2019.
