ViewPoint 49 - Cincinnati Art Club

ViewPoint 49 is an open juried exhibition for fine art in all media, except photography, hosted by the Cincinnati Art Club, the second oldest art club in the nation. The exhibition will be held at Greenwich House Gallery, located in historic O'Bryonville, and will be open daily from October 6 through November 4, 2017, with an opening reception and awards ceremony on Friday, October 6.

Eligibility is open to all artists 18 years of age and older. All work must be original in concept and executed by the entrant after January 1, 2014. All artwork must be for sale with a 40% commission payable to Greenwich House Gallery from each sale. The following media are excluded: photography, crafts, fiber, computer-generated art, painting on photos, and jewelry. Paintings created in workshops or classes are not acceptable. Top award winners from 2015 and 2016 (1st, 2nd, 3rd Place or Gallery Representation) are ineligible to win those awards in 2017. Entrants are eligible for one award only.

Entry fee is $50 for a single entry, $25 for a second entry, and $25 for a third entry. Use coupon code VP49 to get the 4th entry free. Submit 1-4 images of your work. Framed artwork dimensions must not exceed 48" wide (frame excluded) and must be suitably framed and ready for hanging. Gallery wrapped canvas is acceptable. Free standing sculpture must not exceed 36" x 36" x 60" and must be stable or attached to a stable base. Wall sculpture must adhere to the same dimensions as paintings and is limited to a depth of 15". Awards: 1st Place $3,000, 2nd Place $1,200, 3rd Place $750, plus additional cash and in-kind awards to be announced. Selection results will be emailed September 1 and posted on the Cincinnati Art Club website by September 4. Shipped works are due Monday, September 25. Hand-delivered works should be delivered to Greenwich House Gallery, 2124 Madison Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45208, on Tuesday, October 3rd, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
