Vicksburg Hipstoric Art Festival 2025

The Vicksburg Hipstoric Art Festival is a new signature event for Vicksburg, Mississippi, presenting artists and their work on the Blues Highway (Hwy. 61) against the vibrant, hip, and historic downtown area during fall weather. The festival is presented by Vicksburg Main Street Program with support from the Vicksburg Convention & Visitors Bureau and Vicksburg Art Association. The show features an affordable $350 booth fee, with artists retaining all proceeds from their sales, and participation limited to 100 artists.

The festival offers $7,000 in cash awards, including a $2,000 Best of Show award and ten Judge's Choice awards of $500 each (five in two-dimensional and five in three-dimensional categories). Award winners are automatically juried into the following year's festival. Artist amenities include website listing, easy load-in/load-out, free artist and RV parking, reduced hotel rates, 24-hour security, booth sitters, and complimentary bottled water service.

The festival runs September 26-28, 2025, with Friday evening hours 5pm-9pm, Saturday 10am-5pm, and Sunday noon-5pm. Applications require five images including a booth shot, with a $30 jury fee. Artists must be at least 18 years old and all work must be original and handmade by the exhibiting artist. Media categories include clay, drawing/pastels, fiber, glass, jewelry, mixed media (2D and 3D), painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and wood.
